AMERICAN LEGION DONATES TO STAYING CLEAN CLUB

The St.Clairsville American Legion Post 159 recently donated $750.00 to the St. Clairsville Schools "Staying Clean Club". The donation will be used to feed the students as a reward for staying drug free. St. Clairsville Schools have 424 students (over 52%) in grades 7-12 who have joined the club this year. COLLEGE CREDIT PLUS INFORMATIONAL MEETING
An informational meeting for parents and students currently in grades 6 through 11 will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2017, at 5:30 pm in the Middle School Auditorium for those interested in participating in the College Credit Plus Program for the 2018-2019 school year.

SCHOOL BOARD MEETING
The next scheduled Board of Education meeting is WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.  The meeting will be held in the Administration Building at 108 Woodrow Avenue, St. Clairsville, OH 43950. If you have any questions, please call the Administration Building at 740-695-1624.
 
PROJECT MORE
Volunteers wanted!  St. Clairsville Elementary School is seeking volunteers for its reading program, Project MORE for the 2017-18 school year.  Volunteers will be working one-on-one with students in grades 1-4 during the school day.  A minimum of one hour a week is required.  For information, contact Sheila Baum, Project MORE Parent Coordinator at sheila.baum@stcschools.com

LINDSAY'S LAW - SUDDEN CARDIAC ARREST REQUIREMENT
The following is from the Ohio Department of Health's Website:
In accordance with Linday's law, the Ohio Department of Health, the Ohio Department of Education, the Ohio High School Athletic Association, the Ohio Chapter of the American College of Cardiology and other stakeholders jointly developed guidelines and other relevant materials to inform and educate students and youth athletes participating in or desiring to participate in an athletic activity, their parents, and their coaches about the nature and warning signs of sudden cardiac arrest.

COLLECTION FOR HURRICANE HARVEY VICTIMS
The St. Clairsville-Richland City School District collected items to assist relief efforts for victims of Hurricane Harvey. Items were collected at the Elementary, Middle and High School buildings. Students helping load the donated items were K.C. Klinkoski, Matt Greenwood, Shaina Thornton, Matt Butkus and Reese Skaggs.
